	&lt;p&gt;John Agard was born on June 21st 1949. He is a playwright, poet and children's writer from Guyana, who moved to England with his partner Grace Nicholls in 1977. They now live inLewes, near Brighton.

mix red an green&lt;br&gt;
is a half-caste canvas/&lt;br&gt;
